Short on SSD space?

Buying another drive is not the first step. Steam can move an installed game to another library without downloading it again. Clear the required room first, then decide if the cramped drive is a recurring problem.

What Xbox has confirmed

Xbox has confirmed the October 6 release on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, cloud, and Steam. The Collector's Edition includes October 1 early access. We'll update this page when preload timing or the retail download changes the storage plan.
