MW4 connection check · Xbox and PS5
Did MW4 lag even when your internet looked fine?
Run the check beside your console, then enter the Xbox or PS5 network results. We compare the two and show the next useful test. We cannot inspect your console or an individual MW4 match server.
The MW4 beta window has ended
The full game launches October 23. This check can establish a connection baseline now, but it cannot test an MW4 match while the game is offline.

Test this device where you play.
Bring this phone or laptop near the console. We’ll sample latency over time, briefly add download traffic, and check whether response time changes.
Use the same home network as the console. Pause a VPN or Private Relay for this run. Keep this tab visible.

This measures this browser’s path to Expansion Bay at this moment. The download rate is not a gaming pass/fail score. It does not measure your console, ISP capacity, or the MW4 match server, which is why the console comparison below matters.
What this comparison can prove
It can show whether the browser near the console and the console report agree and whether Wi-Fi deserves a wired comparison. Once MW4 is live again, repeating the same check can help separate your local connection from a game-specific problem. It cannot remotely inspect the console or one private match server.
The browser phase uses 20 baseline samples, a brief capped download with response-time probes, and five recovery samples. It is a point-in-time screen, not a full evening of monitoring, so retest while the problem is happening if the first run looks normal.
Expansion Bay is independent and is not affiliated with Activision, Microsoft, or Sony.
