GTA 6 file size: what is actually official.
Rockstar has not published an install size. If your console has room, wait. If it is already full, solve that real problem before preload begins.

Physical edition
Does the physical GTA 6 copy save storage space?
No. Rockstar says the physical box contains a digital download code and no disc. That means the physical edition still needs the full game download and console storage, just like the digital edition.

You do not need a special GTA VI drive. You need the right kind of playable storage for your console. If you already know you need more room, you can go straight to the options.

Use the console's built-in storage or a licensed expansion card. Treat a normal USB drive as a cheaper transfer library, not directly playable GTA VI storage.

GTA VI Extended Look leaves the install size unpublished
Rockstar released its August 27 Extended Look without publishing a console install size. Preload still begins November 12, and any storage figure circulating before the download appears remains an estimate.
